Hi, I’m Linda
I help scientists in leadership positions and individual contributors overcome the challenges related to people management and help them build their confidence while staying true to their values and personality.
You have likely already encountered difficult relationships that have gotten in the way of your career development. You may even have found that your motivation for the science has diminished simultaneouly with your confidence as a manager.
As frustrating as this is, you still love the science, you are ambitious and remain an expert in your field. But advancing in your career also requies leadership skills, which you haven’t been taught to the same expert level as the science.
Your initial feelings towards management training may have been somewhat sceptical. Surely it is just common sense? But nevertheless you have found wisdom in the training, the books from management gurus, and the podcasts from the likes of Simon Sinek and Brene Brown.
But you are still not as confident with the most difficult challenges as you would like. They keep you awake at night. They interfere with your personal life. What is missing? A thought partner and advisor with whom you can safely, without fear of judgement, tackle your most challenging relationships and crucial conversations, and help you breakdown the barriers.
Is this you?
You suffer from self doubt in your new role as a manager
You are feeling the stress of managing a team
You are not getting the support in your new role and you are feeling invisible
Your efforts as a manager and leader are not recognised
You are sandwiched between the pressure from senior management and protecting your team
Communication across functions and teams is ineffective and you are at a loss as to how to improve it
It is demoralising and exhausting. The statistics tell the story: 70% of us suffer imposter syndrome; 61% of us say that managing is their biggest struggle; 54% of us say that demands are unsustainable. But the great news is you really don’t have to navigate these struggles alone.
